Cinnamon Apple Scones (Cinnamon Baking Mix) Created With: ***NEW RECIPES*** "I've been enjoying the Oatmeal Scones
for quite awhile but thought I'd try a new scone recipe. I hope you like my latest
creation -- full of flavor and high in fiber.
![]() "Place one box of Southaven Farm Cinnamon Baking Mix
in a large bowl. Mix with 1 teaspoon baking powder.
"In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup nonfat milk, 1
cup unsweetened applesauce, 1/2 cup splenda or sugar, and 2 teaspoons
vanilla extract. Pour the liquid mixture into the dry mixture and
combine. Add 1 generous cup of finely chopped apple (this is about one
large apple) and mix in. The batter will be very dense and sticky.
"Lightly spray a nonstick cookie sheet or line it with
parchment paper. Drop 12 mounds of dough onto cookie sheet. Spray
your hands with PAM or dip them in water and then form each scone into
an oval or triangle, whatever you prefer.
"Bake at 350 degrees for 17-21 minutes. These are
great split in half and toasted, then smeared with a little cream
cheese."
